Description

The Congress "All-Russian Congress on Theoretical and Applied Mechanics" (hereinafter referred to as the Congress) is the largest event in Russia dedicated to topical problems of modern mechanics, which brings together the country's leading scientists in the field of mechanics, mathematics, physics and related sciences. The initiator and permanent organizer of the Congress is the Russian National Committee for Theoretical and Applied Mechanics of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The congress has been held since 1960, as a rule, once every four years, and each time in a new city. In 2023, this large-scale scientific event will be held for the first time in St. Petersburg, from 21 to 25 August. The general partner of the Congress is Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, the operator of the Congress is Monomax LLC.

It is significant that the congress "XIII All-Russian Congress on Theoretical and Applied Mechanics" will be held on the eve of the 300th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences, also founded in St. Petersburg in 1724. The program of the Congress includes the work of scientific sections on general and applied mechanics, mechanics liquid and gas, solid mechanics, various subsections and symposiums.
